SOFTWARE DISCLAIMER: CompFix cannot guarantee that there is no physical damage to the screen/display if the product cannot be switched on for inspection. Damaged screens/displays are not covered by a warranty. Where the system’s operating system (OS) is compromised, CompFix reserves the right to format the computer’s hard drive (HDD) in the event of an OS failure. CompFix cannot guarantee the recovery and transfer of software license keys. It is the client’s sole responsibility to provide all software information, activated or not. CompFix will not be held responsible for the loss of account information, data or otherwise after the software upgrade/installation, including but not limited to Microsoft Account information and/or cloud software account information.

Collection & general conditions

UNCOLLECTED/UNDELIVERED PRODUCTS: CompFix will keep any product, repaired or not, for a maximum period of 3 months from the date of notification to collect or deliver. Notification will be sent to the contact details provided, by SMS or email. If the product is not collected in time, it will be sold or destroyed.

All goods are handled at their respective owner’s risk, and while every reasonable precaution will be taken, CompFix accepts no responsibility for any item in any way. CompFix is not responsible for any information, data or software loss and reserves the right to format the computer’s hard disk drive (HDD) if needed. I have made backups of my important information. All software upgrades and installations are strictly COD/EFT. In the case of EFT, the product will not be delivered or released for collection until the funds reflect in CompFix’s account. CompFix reserves the right to refuse services, hardware, software or otherwise to clients.

Diagnosis fee & payment

A R450 diagnosis fee is payable upfront before any work starts. If we collect your device, the upfront amount is R800 (R450 diagnosis fee + R350 call-out fee). If you pay online, a secure Yoco payment link will appear after you submit this form. If you’d rather pay cash, choose that option and pay when your device is dropped off or collected.

I understand that the R450 diagnosis fee covers the initial diagnosis of my device and will be deducted from my final invoice. Any components needed are charged extra at current market and supplier prices, plus a R200 delivery fee when components are ordered, and any additional labour is charged at R395 per hour.
